Parent-child interaction is considered as a factor of risk /prevention of complications accompanying in a number of pathologies, which can affect on the early child’s sensorimotor and cognitive development.

The article describes the design of a longitudinal study assessment of neurocognitive functions of the infant and parent-child interactions.

Three groups of children are included: children with a stroke; with family risk of autism spectrum disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; typically developing children.

Described behavioral methods “Scale of Psychomotor Development of Children Nancy Bailey” (III), MacArthur Speech Questionnaire, assessment Parent-Child Interaction, Questionnaire Parent-Infant Caregiving Touch Scale. 

The further obtained data can be used for creating correction programs and improvement parent-child interactions to prevent and reduce deviations in sensory and cognitive areas, which may contribute to the decrease in the number of children with disabilities, their social adaptation and integration into a society.
