The results of an empirical study of the characteristics of cognitive, emotional and behavioral strategies of coping behavior in 1st and 2nd year students of a medical university prone to Internet addiction are presented in the article. It is empirically proven that students who do not have an Internet addiction in most cases use productive copings that can effectively overcome everyday stress. Students with a pronounced pattern of Internet-dependent behavior prefer unproductive coping strategies aimed at ignoring the problem, isolation, passive humility and self-blaming. The results obtained are important and can be used in psychoprophylaxis and correction of Internet addiction.
